A FedEx flight from Bengaluru had a small excursion on the runway as it landed at the Mumbai Airport amid rains brought on by Cyclone Nisarga. The aircraft landed in Mumbai around 12:13 pm on Runway 14. The wind speeds were very high in the city and the aircraft took a wrong turn on the taxiway while trying to vacate the runway upon landing. The FedEx aircraft left the tarmac and managed to stop right at the end of the paved surface of the runway. The aircraft, one of the largest transporter aircrafts, is no longer used as a passenger flight. DGCA said a pilot error caused the excursion.
